About

Hello, my name is Jessica Poche', owner of A Widow's Fight who loves God and people.

Developing this course has been on my heart since the first day I took an in person grief course a few months after my husbands death. I was unable to complete the course because of its structure contradicting my grief needs at the time, so I left after 2.5 meetings. However a couple of years later, I had wished I had access to some of the information that was shared without having to go and take the 8 week course all over again. It was then that I thought it would be amazing to have a course that was not restricted by time, with continued access to information that go according to your pace, your schedule and your needs.

In developing LIVE, I imagined the working husband whose schedule begins at 6 pm, so he may not be able to complete an in person class. Or the mom who has no child care and can't take a traditional course. Even the young person who is attending school and doesn't have the means to make it to a physical location and a continued specific time, yet they all are suffering from some type of loss and need support.

This is where LIVE comes in. With content available 24/7 you are able to take your time and truly learn about this process you are experiencing and see what may or may not be healthy, normal or ok. Though I had experienced many losses, two of them transformed my life: when my husband passed in 2015 and two years later when my father passed in 2017. The hardship of homelessness that accompanied the loss of my husband and the lack of relationship with my dad produced two very unique grief journey's, in which I vulnerably share, as well as other moments of grief.

My prayer is that your life is truly empowered and changed after you attend this course. I understand it is not easy, but I believe it will be worth it.

In His Love,
